SSCI’s high quality boiler specialty additives focus on improving the operational efficiency of steam boilers, industrial boilers and process systems by offering readymade solutions to the complications associated with such installations such as scale formation, corrosion, carryover and sludge deposition. SSCI manufactures a special range of boiler additives for multi-stage flash distillation (MSF) and multi-effect distillation (MED) boilers.
SSCI’s Tannin based oxygen scavengers are not dependant on the feed-water temperature as they do not increase the boiler water conductivity hence reducing the need for blowdown.
SSCI’s group of carbohydrazide based oxygen scavengers are specifically formulated for scavenging oxygen and passivating metal surfaces and thus are considered safe. The products can be used as a direct replacement for hydrazine in any given boiler without the associated safety hazards and handling precautions. They can also be used in boilers of any pressure up to and including supercritical 220 bar g.
Our Diethylhydroxylamine (DEHA) group is also a green oxygen scavenger that can provide extreme protection from oxygen corrosion along with excellent feed-water and boiler system passivation. They can be used as a replacement for hydrazine in any boiler with a pressure up to 125 bar without the associated safety hazards and handling precautions. These products are volatile and alkaline, not contributing dissolved solids or ammonia to the boiler system.
SSCI also manufacture highly efficient catalyzed sodium sulphite products used to absorb oxygen in steam boiler systems. Dose ideally to feed tank to allow time for the oxygen to be absorbed before entering the steam boiler.
Condensate Lines Treatment
SSCI manufacture a superior cyclohexylamine based neutralizing amine condensate line treatment for boilers, suitable for use up to 2400 psig and complies with FDA regulation.
Scale Inhibitors & Sludge Conditioners
SSCI specifically formulated phosphate based scale inhibitors are particularly effective against calcium sulphate and calcium silicate. The products comply with FDA regulations for steam that comes into contact with food.
Our versatile polymer based products are developed as a steam boiler sludge conditioner and internal metal passivator. The product can also be used in systems up to 70 bar g. (1000psi) and complies with FDA regulations. It is best to use this product on clean boilers as it may remove existing scale deposits.
SSCI combined phosphate and polymer treatment is used in steam boiler systems up to 1500 psig. and acts as a combined antiscalant and suspended solids control agent. This product is excellent for softened and low hardness water. The phosphate reacts with the hardness whilst the polymer provides transport of calcium, magnesium, iron, phosphate and silica through the boiler, preventing scales adhering to metal surface.
SSCI superior quality caustic based product can be used as a pH adjuster/alkalinity builder for steam boilers, effluent systems or any other process requiring pH adjustment.
Boiler Multifunctional Products
SSCI excellent multifunctional products are developed for boilers and boiler water systems. The products contain catalyzed bisulphite, for rapid and complete oxygen scavenging, phosphates for the control of precipitation, and powerful antiscalants and dispersants to mobilize hardness or iron oxide sludge and prevent thereby prevent scale.
SSCI produces highly active cleaning agents and descalers in powder and liquid form, supplied with a special film forming inhibitor to protect mild steel, stainless steel, copper and brass against acid attack.
